Mason signs with Roosters

BREAKING NEWS 

National Nine News has reported that Willie Mason has signed with the Sydney Roosters, with an announcement to be made this afternoon.

Mason was subject to a bidding war between four clubs after acrimoniously parting ways with the Bulldogs. St.George Illawarra and Super League club Wigan dropped out of the race this week, leaving the Roosters and Cronulla.

The Roosters released forward Ashley Harrison to the Gold Coast Titans earlier in the week in order to free room in the salary cap.

A press conference has been called for 4pm.
