Tiger too good for Badds

It’s not that Aaron Baddeley did much wrong on Sunday in Chicago.
It’s just that Tiger Woods was around.
Baddeley took a one shot lead into the final round of the BMW Championship. Last time he led a big tournament and Tiger was lurking, Badds started with a triple bogey, collapsing miserably at the US Open.
Not today.
Baddeley birdied the first and played steadily through the first five holes. Tiger birdied the 3rd, maintaining the status quo. The Australian dropped a shot on the 6th and it was all square.
What followed was remarkable.
Tiger and Baddeley would trade birdies on 7, 8 and 9. Woods in the groove. Pars on the 10 and 11 interrupted the stunning run, which included more birdies on 12, 13, 15 and 16. Seven birdies in ten holes. Baddeley kept in touch, with birdies on 11 and 15, however could not keep up with the juggernaut.
The turning point came in a matter of seconds. Baddeley left a fifteen foot eagle putt short on 15, while Woods, almost simultaneously, drilled a birdie putt from the back of the sixteenth green.
Game over.
Tiger would par the last two to complete an 8 under 63, finishing at -22, two ahead of the Australian. Overnight co-leader Steve Stricker ended at -19.
Woods’ sixth victory of the year catapults Tiger back to the top of the FedEx playoffs, with the Tour Championship to play.
Adam Scott flew home with a 65 to finish fourth. Nathan Green was fourteenth, Stuart Appleby 25th.
Baddeley, Scott, Ogilvy and Robert Allenby are in the FedEx top 30 and will play in next weeks finale.
