Thorpe cleared of cheating

Five time world champion Ian Thorpe has been cleared of doping allegations, the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority said.

Thorpe returned abnormal levels of testosterone in a urine sample he gave in May 2006, however ASADA today cleared him of all wrongdoing.

“The evidence available does not indicate the use of performance enhancing substances by Mr Thorpe,” ASADA said in a statement.

“He has no case to answer.”
