Candice Falzon has quickly become one of Sydney’s most famous people, and it has nothing to do with her sporting prowess. Well, on the field. Here’s the answers to the big questions on The Serve
TS: Now that the incident with Sonny Bill Williams is no longer making news, can you tell us what happened in the bathroom at the Clovelly Hotel?
CF: I’ve said repeatedly that I won’t comment, but nothing happened.
TS: Nothing?
CF: Well, nothing out of the ordinary. Not me for, anyway.
TS: There were rumours that Sonny Bill wasn’t the only Bulldogs player you had relations with that night?
CF: See that’s typical tabloid journalism. Headlines like ‘Candice and the Bulldogs’ just made me so angry.
TS: So the story was wrong?
CF: Oh no, it was dead on the money, but it ticked off the bloke from the Dragons I was also with that night.
TS: Fair enough. You’re going to England. Not exactly a suitable climate for your sport, which is Ironwoman. So why are you going?
CF: Simple. I feel limited here in Sydney. It’s a wonderful town but you can only go so far. Look at England. They have twenty football teams in their Premier League, and there’s another three divisions. So that’s, what, eighty teams! It’s simple mathematics, really.
TS: You’re a good athlete, but IÂ imagine being an Ironwoman wouldn’t pay the bills. What is it you actually do exactly?
CF: I think the more pertinent question is what don’t I do.
