Terrell Owens: We deserve to have swagger
The Tony Romo/Terrell Owens duo has never looked so dynamic, as the Dallas Cowboys took charge of the NFC East with a 31-20 victory over at the Giants, taking the Cowboys to 8-1.
With the game locked at quarter time (7-7) and the half (17-17), Romo and Owens broke the game open with two touchdown passes, 25 yards and 50 yards.
“If you want to call it swagger, yes we have the confidence that we know we can go out and beat teams,” said Owens, who now boasts an impressive eleven touchdowns in nine outings against the Giants.
The outspoken wide reciever concedes there’s room for improvement.
“Obviously today, we had more penalties than we would like and we have to eliminate those,” Owens said.
T.O. is certainly cooking, with todays effort of six catches for 125 yards giving him his third straight 100-yard game.
Romo continues to silence the critics, who continually point towards his exorbitant deal. The Dallas QB delivered 20 of 28, for 247 yards.
“A win like tonight just adds to your confidence. When you do something like this, you have a chance to do something special,” Romo said.
The pivotal win gives the Cowboys a two game lead on the Giants(6-3), while Washington(5-4) is next best in the division.
The Green Bay Packers(8-1) are the only team in the entire NFC within two wins of the Cowboys. The two trendsetters will meet on Thursday November 29 in a Texas blockbuster.
