Storm education still needs work

While the city of Melbourne continues its flirtation with its champion rugby league team, some are clearly still struggling to grasp the foreign code.

The Age reporter Catherine McAloon excitedly reported that the Storm will be returning back home to greet their fans

“They will present the Clive Churchill Trophy to fans.”

There is no Clive Churchill trophy. The Clive Churchill medal is awarded to the player of the grand final - in this instance Greg Inglis - while the Storm will be brandishing the NRL trophy, which has no official term, although it can be referred to as the ‘Telstra premiership’.

The education continues.
