Smith to have arthroscope

Ben Smith

Parramatta centre Ben Smith remains a slight chance of playing in Saturday’s elimination final against the Bulldogs, despite requiring an arthroscope on his injured knee.

Coach Michael Hagan had earlier given Smith no chance of being fit, even questioning whether the centre could be ready for the preliminary final, if the Eels make it.

Joel Reddy is likely to come onto the wing, with Krisnan Inu a likely option to move the centre.
