Serena marches towards Henin

Serena Williams has accounted for her first seeded opponent at the Australian Open without any fuss, beating 26th seed Victoria Azarenka 6-3, 6-4 in the third round on Vodafone Arena.

> Serena: I will get even better

Think Dellaqcua can upset Jankovic at $4.25? Bet with Lasseters now

Serena was barely troubled, losing just four points when her first serve went in. The Belarusian appeared capable at times, however the power of the seven-time slam champion was omnipresent, with Williams slamming a whopping 29 winners.

The draw is shaping nicely for Williams, who next plays 12th seed Nicole Vaidisova, a player Serena has never lost to. In the quarters, Jelena Jankovic would be the likely opponent, with the Serb noticeably struggling with form and injury. All roads appear to be directed to a semi-final against world number one Justine Henin.
