Serena was barely troubled, losing just four points when her first serve went in. The Belarusian appeared capable at times, however the power of the seven-time slam champion was omnipresent, with Williams slamming a whopping 29 winners.
The draw is shaping nicely for Williams, who next plays 12th seed Nicole Vaidisova, a player Serena has never lost to.
