St.Kilda has collected the prized scalp of Geelong by 5 points in their NAB Cup clash in Canberra, however the Saints may lose Fraser Gehrig and Max Hudghton for the opening rounds of the AFL season.

Gehrig left the match with a calf injury in the second term, with the early prognosis suggesting the veteran could be out for a month. Hudghton twinged a hamstring in the final term.

St.Kilda rookie Jack Steven crumbed a goal in the last two minutes to give the Saints a lead they would hold on to. The second-string Cats opened an early three goal lead, before Justin Koschitzke led a Saints comeback, with four goals.

Tom Hawkins landed four goals for Geelong.

The Saints will meet Essendon in the semi finals.
