The Roosters defied the wet weather to lay on eleven tries and humiliate North Queensland 64-30 in front of a near empty Aussie Stadium.

The posted figure of 4,186 witness an inspired Roosters attack destroy a clearly uninterested Cowboys side, racking up eleven tries.
Halfback Mitchell Pearce was dominant, reveling in the responsibility of steering the Roosters in the absence of five eighth Braith Anasta. Shaun Kenny-Dowell crossed for three times, in a win which does not see the Roosters move off the bottom of the table, however they sit just four points outside of the top four.

North Queensland remains third for the time being.
