Rocca rival admits feeling pressure

Sav Rocca

The fledgling NFL career of former Collingwood and North Melbourne full forward Sav Rocca goes on the line against this weekend, with the Philadelphia Eagles taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers in what is considered the most important of the pre season matches.

In a clear indication that Rocca’s status is growing, Eagles coach Andy Reid will have the Australian play in the first half, with regular kicker Dirk Johnson to play in the second.

Johnson told the Philadelphia Daily News that he is under strain with his position under threat. “I can’t say it doesn’t bother me because I’d be lying. But you have to just roll with the punches and take every day as its own and continue to work hard.”

The Steelers match is the Eagles third in a four game pre season program.
