Ray Warren: NRL Round 24

BULLDOGS v MELBOURNE

This is the time of year that the Bulldogs get serious, and Sonny Bill is showing the form I thought he would, but I still believe Melbourne are the complete package. Yes, they’ve been shaky, but they lift for the teams that have a reputation. Last week they handled Parramatta, who have a reputation, and I believe they will do it again.

Melbourne

NEWCASTLE v COWBOYS

It’s an important game for the Cowboys, who are gunning for top four. They should win, however I’m not as convinced as I could be. If Danny Buderus plays, anything can happen

Cowboys

CRONULLA v GOLD COAST

The Titans are still a chance and that should get them home. I have a huge opinion of Scott Prince, a big opinion of Laffranchi and Bailey. That class will win out.

Gold Coast

ROOSTERS v PENRITH

I can’t get my arms around Penrith. They have the ability to look pathetic, then they can be worldbeaters. Maybe it’s in the water. The Roosters will probably win. It’s one for the tipping competitions but I wouldn’t be putting any hard earned on it.

Roosters

WARRIORS v MANLY

Warriors for me, especially with all of the Sea Eagles players being left at home. What does worry me is the Warriors will finish in the top four and that’s an extra plane trip for the commentators! The Warriors are another team that needs to win for top four, Manly don’t. Necessity is the key.

Warriors

BRISBANE V CANBERRA

I would’ve though Canberra would have some hope if they were at home. Brisbane have done a magnificent job considering the players they’ve lost. They should be too good.

Brisbane

TIGERS v SOUTHS

Ray Warren’s Statement Game

DRAGONS v PARRAMATTA

This is another match governed by necessity. The Eels are a better team and they’re in the race for the four, while the Dragons have nothing to play for.

Parramatta
