Pratt beaten but not disgraced

Nicole Pratt is out of the US Open, but not after giving 6th seed Anna Chakvetadze a job to do in the second round.

The Russian won 6-3, 6-4.

Pratt will be ruing a string of missed break opportunities. Her conversion rate of 2 from 8 was telling, especially given Chakvetadze won 4 of 5 break points. The Russian was wild at times, making a staggering 30 unforced errors.
