Olyroos get equaliser against North Korea

LIVE UPDATE

Olyroos captain Mark Milligan has scored an opportunistic goal to put Australia back in the drivers seat for a spot in Beijing, with the Olyroos and North Korea level at 1-1 after 81 minutes in Pyongyang.

Needing to avoid defeat to secure a berth at next years Games, The Olyroos slipped behind when Park Chol Min scored on 10 minutes.

The visitors struggled on the plastic pitch, rarely looking dangerous. A set piece resulted in the 70th minute, with Kristian Sarkies penetrating the penalty box, finding a vacant Milligan, who headed towards the far post. Adrian Leijer nursed it into the back of the net, but ball appeared to have crossed the line beforehand.

A draw would be enough for Australia to qualify for the Olympics ahead of Iraq, who are playing Lebanon at the same time.
