Oglivy four back at Barclays

Geoff Ogilvy

Steve Stricker is once again in the hunt in a tournament in 2007. With the form he’s showing at The Barclays, this time he may turn that into a trophy.

Winless since 2001, Stricker fired a 6 under 65 in the third round, including a purple patch of five birdies in eight holes. Sticker is -14, one ahead of second round leader KJ Choi.

Hunter Mahan monstered the Westchester course with a 9 under 62, leaving him two off the lead, tied with Rich Beem.

Geoff Ogilvy had an and up and down afternoon, making five birdies but conceding three bogeys, to sit at -10, four away. It’s the same position he was in before the third round.

Nick O’Hern is in a tie for 19th at -6, Aaron Baddeley and Adam Scott a further shot back. Rod Pampling is -3, Andrew Buckle -2, while a 74 has Nathan Green at +3.
