O Malley three back at Asian Open, Norman six off lead

Peter O’Malley is three strokes behind the lead midway through the third round of the BMW Asian Open in Shanghai.

O’Malley is even for the day after eight holes to remain at -3, with Darren Clarke and Lin Wen-Teng joint leaders at 6 under. Dutchman Robert-Jan Derksen is one off the pace.

Greg Norman started with two birdies, however the veteran has given both shots back to sit even for day through 12 holes, keeping Norman at even for the week. He sits in a tie for 23rd.
