Nine Cats in All-Australian

Gary Ablett

Geelong’s utter domination of the 2007 AFL season has resulted in a record nine players making the All-Australian team.

Eight of the Cats are first time entrants, with Matt Scarlett the only previous entrant.

Port Adelaide boasted three entrants, with the Cornes brothers become the first siblings to make the same team since Justin and Simon Madden in 1987.

Adelaide’s Andrew McLeod, now a five time All-Australian, was named captain.
