Mourinho continues playing the media game

Jose Mourinho continues to play coy with the media and the FA as he retains favouritism for the vacant England managers job.

A day after being quoted in The Sun newspaper, refusing to confirm or deny his interest in the prominent position, the ‘Special One’ has continued his almost flirtatious public courtship.

“I know nothing,” Mourinho told Sky News.

Knowing full well why a British journalist was camped outside his Portuguese residence, the former Chelsea manager was at his coquettish best.

“Which job?,” Mourinho playfully asked the reporter. When the journalist duly informed him it was the England position he was referring, Mourinho played dumb.

“Cannot answer you.”

Mourinho attempted to portray a comfortable and relaxed attitude to life since being removed from Stamford Bridge in September, however it’s obvious he misses running a football team.

“My job at this moment is to take care of my family, take care of my things in Portugal, enjoying my life, (although) not 100 percent because (there’s) no football.”

When it was pointed out that Mourinho has been without a job for three months and would surely want to take on a job as soon as possible, the Special One nonchalantly brushed it aside.

“Can be four, five, six. No problem.”
