Moore marched in draw

If tonight’s season opener is any indication, then fans of the Queensland Roar can expect a team that is going to be hell bent ferocious, sometimes to the detriment of the game.
The Roar drew 2-2 with Adelaide United in a night of high drama at Suncorp Stadium.
Captain Craig Moore was marched for a second bookable offence five minutes after his first, while Danny Tiatto was at his vicious best and worst. Wayward tackles, stomping and other fierce challenges. That he managed to avoid a red card says more about the refereeing than his control.
Roar came from behind twice, the second equalizer scored with a man down, courtesy of Sasa Ogdenovski’s header in the 76th minute.
Moore was marched on 68 minutes, yelling abuse at Nathan Burns, who scored the opening goal after eight minutes. On leaving the arena, Moore unsportingly threw his captains armband away.
Queensland’s first goal was scored by Matt McKay, who was helped by a deflection. United regained the lead through Bruce Djite.
