Michalak gone for six months

Sharks and France fly half Frederic Michalak will miss the remainder of the Super 14 season and French southern tour.

Michalak has torn an anterior cruciate ligament, sustained during the Sharks’ 25-10 loss to the NSW Waratahs in Sydney on Saturday. The South African side slipped to third on the super 14 ladder, with their chances of making the semis tumbling with today’s news.

France will play Australia in a two-test series this winter.
