Melbourne watches NRL in droves

Melbourne TV viewers didn’t quite match last year’s figures when the Storm lost to Brisbane in the NRL grand final, however an average of over 720,000 Melbournian’s saw the Storm’s win over Manly.

Over 48% of televisions in Melbourne were tuned to Channel Nine’s coverage, which delivered almost 2.4 million viewers nationally.

The 2006 decider between Melbourne and the Broncos remarkably delivered more viewers in Melbourne than Sydney, however over 913,000 Sydneysiders watched last nights match.
