Mason back for Bulldogs
Willie Mason will return after a seven week abscene to boost the Bulldogs side to play the Cowboys in Townsville.
The Bulldogs couldn’t have picked a better time to have their star return, who says his wrist has completely recovered from a sickening dislocation in round 18. The injury was sternly tested at training yesterday.
“I didn’t favour it at all. I was leaning on it. I went in as hard as I could,” Mason told Channel Nine.
Mason will be joined by winger Matt Utai, who hasn’t played in 17 weeks after breaking his leg. The Bulldogs are fifth on the ladder after last weeks loss to Melbourne and could slip of the eight entirely if they were to lose to the Cowboys and a freakish run of results went against them. Mason acknowledged the Dogs lack of ability to concentrate for long periods has hurt them.
“We’ve been doing it all year, and we’re sick of it.
“One of our main goals this week is to play for the full eighty minutes”
