Kite hurt as Eagles hang on

 Manly has limped into the finals with a 28-24 win over the Dragons, after leading by 22 points at half time.

The Sea Eagles notched up five tries in the first 32 minutes as they looked set to rout the Dragons. Michael Monaghan picking up an early double

The second half plodded along, until Mark Gasnier’s second try sparked the game into action. Matt Cooper crossed in the 71st minute, while Jason Nightingale went over in the 78th minute, leaving the Sea Eagles open to losing their third straight match

Brent Kite left the field in the 57th minute with a groin injury and would appear in some doubt for Manly’s first final.
