Kangas go back to the grind and win again

The Kangaroos new found razzle dazzle was nowhere to seen at Telstra Dome, but the old fashioned Kangas grind was enough to suffocate St.Kilda.

“We played an uncompromising style of football today” lauded coach Dean Laidley, at a victory which leaves the Kangaroos 7-4 at the half way mark.

Corey Jones was a standout, kicking four goals in a game the Saints never led, and never looked like leading, until the early stages of the final term, when St.Kilda closed to within eight points. Their hopes dashed quickly after. “Our ability to defend early was poor” was the simple offering from coach Ross Lyon.
