Kangaroos accept Green ban

Kasey Green

The Kangaroos will lose Kasey Green for two finals after the club opted to accept a two match ban instead of fight a striking charge and risk missing a third game.

Green was charged with striking Tom Williams during the Kangaroos easy victory over the Western Bulldogs on Sunday.

The tribunal will hear Melbourne’s Michael Newton, with the Demons choosing to contest a striking Paul Bower from Carlton. Newton could have accepted a two game ban.
