Ivanovic cruises into third round

Fourth seed Ana Ivanovic has equalled her best performance at the Australian Open, with a 6-0, 6-3 annihilation of Italian Tathiana Garvin to reach the third round. Think Lleyton Hewitt is good value at $2.10 to beat Marcos Baghdatis at the Australian Open? Bet now with Lasseters
Ivanovic, who is yet the reach the second week at Melbourne Park, seems certain to break that duck in 2008, as the world number three had all cylinders firing on Rod Laver Arena. The Serbian cracked 24 winners to 6, however the world number three needed six match points to seal the deal.
The victory was Ivanovic’s first in a grand slam event under lights.
Ivanovic will play Slovenian veteran Katarina Srebotnik on Saturday.
