India gone swimming

With no match in the immediate future to prepare for, the Indian cricket squad has headed to Bondi Beach to swim off their excess energy.

The Australian and Indian media packs eagerly swooped as the players boarded the team bus outside their Sydney hotel on Tuesday morning. Harbhajan Singh, at the centre of the furore which has seen the off-spinner suspended for racial abuse, was asked if he believed if he would win an appeal against the three test ban. He nodded his head and uttered “yes”.

Thursday’s two day practice match with an ACT XI is in severe jeopardy, with the third test in Perth scheduled to begin Wednesday week.

It has also been revealed that Sachin Tendulkar, batting with Harbhajan at the time of the alleged incident with Andrew Symonds, has indicated to the boss of the BCCI via text message that the team does not want to play until Harbhajan is cleared.
