He has already stated publicly that when the time comes for him to make a decision on contracts he will be puting his family first before anything else, loyalty included.

Mason opened his eyes to the fact that loyalty is bandied about by clubs and some players to keep them locked in as the Bulldogs have done at a cheap price for 5 years. He may have been injured a lot but the kid is 22 years old which by my calculations is pretty dam young for a superstar of the game - his body was not fully developed when he arrived in dominating fashion and you can see that in his physique today.

He will only become a better player as he matures and you're right, the Doggies bosses aren't fools - its not just his on-field exploits that make the club money - the thousands of Doggies SBW replica jerseys, fan days, endorsements etc will give the club the financial success it needs when the team aren't doing so well ala a certain Mr Beckham playing for LA Galaxy - check their bank balance now since they signed him.

It's a professional marketplace now - sportspeople are free to choose their career paths just as you or I could one day decide to become a lawyer or pilot or whatever we feel will put food on the table!

Loyalty you say? Not in our lifetimes.

The Bulldogs ripped him off!! Now paying him peanuts have come back to bite them in the arse!!

Loyalty is word clubs use to rip off young players and sign them up to 5 year contracts. If Sonny moves to Union he'll be a global star and earn triple the amount of money he'd be retarted to stay with the doggies!
