Hayden calls Harbhajan an obnoxious weed

The simmering tensions between Australia and India, once again evident in Sunday’s one-dayer at the SCG, have intensified with Matt Hayden attacking Harbhajan Singh on radio.

> Hayden weed comment earns reprimand

News Limited publications are reporting that Hayden ripped into Singh during an interview on a Brisbane radio station.

“It’s been a bit of a long battle with Harbhajan. The first time I ever met him he was the same little obnoxious weed that he is now,” Hayden told Brisbane’s Triple M Radio.

“His record speaks for itself in cricket. There is a certain line that you can kind of go to and then you know where you push it and he just pushes it all the time. That’s why he has been charged more than anyone that’s ever played in the history of cricket.”

Hayden continued his assault, even talking in an Indian accent.

The teams will contest the best-of-three one day series finals, starting on Sunday in Sydney, before the summer mercifully comes to end.

Hahahahahaha. Onya Hayden!! “obnoxious little weed” is mild compared to what a lot of Aussie’s are saying about him though. If Bharji feels insulted by being called obnoxious or a “bad boy” he knows where to look to point the finger of blame - in his mirror. BTW Why are Indian cricket fans so obsessed with calling people “beggars” as if that’s somehow a disgusting thing to be? I’ve noticed that expression used all over the net. Very odd. Guess that must be the lowest form of life in your country - you know - being poor n stuff.

I like the Aussie Funda…

Aussies would stoop to any levels as long as they dont cross the racial line (drawn by the big white world!)

Hayden is master batsmen and commands a lot of respect from every one across but I am afraid there was no need for him to make his views public.
Also making fun of a youngster like Sharma and imitating Indian accent are very childish.
Really stupid of him.Look at people like Gily & Brett Lee, he should learn from them.
