Dogs go for downgrade

Sonny Bill Williams

> Souths to fight for Fa’alogo
> Taylor: My fault we were flat against Roosters

Sonny Bill Williams is out of this weeks 6 v 3 final against the Cowboys at the very least, with the Bulldogs pleading guilty to a striking charge, but searching for a reduction in the grading.

Williams was hit with a grade two charge, with a two match ban of offer. If the club is successful in its case, Williams would only miss one game, however the Dogs risk a three game ban if the case is thrown out.

“We trained (today) with the 17 guys we’re going to have. If Sonny Bill comes back it will be a bonus,” said Dogs skipper Andrew Ryan.

“I’ve looked at it, I didn’t think it was too bad. Hopefully he can play.”
