Daniel Kerr facing three to five weeks
The struggling West Coast Eagles have been dealt another blow, with start midfielder Daniel Kerr handed a minimum three-match ban for head-butting Bulldogs veteran Scott West.
The Eagles could fight the charge – deemed intentional - however an unsuccessful bid at the tribunal would result in a five-match suspension. With television footage seemingly damning, it is unlikely West Coast will take the league on. Kerr’s poor record led to 40 percent loading being added to the original penalty.
There was also bad news across town, with Fremantle’s Josh Carr facing a three to four week suspension for kneeing Geelong’s Gary Ablett.
