Ben Cousins hearing still going

Ben Cousins showdown with the AFL has entered its fifth hour, as the fallen West Coast Eagles star faces charges of bringing the game into disrepute.

Cousins arrived at AFL house in Melbourne at 9am, flanked by father Bryan, manager Ricky Nixon and solicitor David Grace.

It was reported that the Cousins team would offer to have the 2005 Brownlow medallist sit out the 2008 season as a compromise, allowing him to nominate for next years draft.

Cousins recently had charges of drug possession and failing to provide a blood test dropped by WA police.
