Brumbies clinch win in last minute

A try in the last minute to Christian Lealiifano has secured the ACT Brumbies a 28-21 win over the last placed Lions in their Super 14 match at Canberra Stadium.

The stragglers of the tournament led 21-13, before a try to Mark Gerrard and penalty goal to Stirling Mortlock left the scores level, with Lealiifano’s heroics keeping the clumsy Brumbies in the race for the semi-finals.

Mortlock made an encouraging return from injury.
