Baddeley keeps share of lead

Aaron Baddeley

Aaron Baddeley answered the challenges of Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker to keep a share of the lead at the BMW Championship in Chicago.

Tiger fired a 65, while Stricker posted a 64. Baddeley was one behind Stricker coming up the last, before drilling his approach to within three feet.

Baddeley and Stricker are at -15 after the third round. Tiger is -14.

The trio are well clear of fourth placed Justin Rose, who is -10.

Woods peppered the Cog Hill pins all afternoon, missing several makeable birdies.

“I felt like 6 under was the highest score I could have shot,” Woods said. “But I’m in a good spot going into tomorrow.”

Tomorrow will a crucial day in the FedEx Cup standings. Stricker is second, Tiger third, Baddeley eleventh.

Leader Phil Mickelson chose not to play this week.

Next weeks Tour Championship is the final event on the FedEx schedule.
