Aussies out of Twenty20

India beat Australia
> Gilchrist: Sreesanth killed us

India has eliminated Australia from the Twenty20 world championship, on the back of another superb performance from Yuvraj Singh.

Winning to toss and batting, India made a slow start, falling to 2/41 off 8 overs.

Enter Yuvraj.

Singh backed up his 12 ball 50 against with match turning 70 off 30 balls, including five 6s and five 4s. The swashbuckling left hander was well supported by Robin Uthappa (34 off 28) and skipper Mahendra Dhoni (36 off 18).

The Indians finished with a formidable 5/188.

Australia seemed to have the target well within sight, scorching their way to 2/134 in the fifteenth over. Matt Hayden’s brilliant tournament ending when he was bowled by quick Shanthakumaran Sreesanth for 62 off 47.

Sreesanth took 2/12 off his four overs.

Symonds went for 43 off 26, leaving Australia the still gettable target of 33 runs off 20 balls.

It was not to be as the middle and lower order struggled against disciplined bowling.

India won the match by 15 runs to set up a mouth watering final against Pakistan.
