Aker back to the good old days

Jason Akermanis marked his return to the ‘Gabba with a return to his glory days, helping his new club, The Western Bulldogs, to a much needed 13.17.95 to 10.12.72 win over the Brisbane Lions.

Booed throughout the match, the three time premiership player ignited the game by kicking two goals in quick succession during the first term. A seven goal onslaught from the visitors gave them a 29 point lead at quarter time. A lead that was never threatened.

The Bulldogs snapped a two game losing run, while the Lions have now gone five matches without a win. Brad Johnson kicked four goals for the Dogs.
